Our Mission: The objective of the Triad Softball League is to promote a social environment through amateur athletics with special emphasis on the participation of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in an atmosphere of friendly competition.

 

History of TSL

The Triad Softball League was formed during the summer of 2003 when a small group of people began meeting at a local ball field to play some pick up games.  Over that summer it was realized that we might have something going on here and two teams formed, t-shirts were passed out and every Sunday a friendly game of softball was played.

The next summer, we had four teams.  That fall, as four teams formed, we hired umpires, and team insurance was purchased.  We were an official league in the eyes of the Amateur Softball Association. As of the 2011 season, we have grown to seven teams! We look forward to further growth in years to come thanks to our loyal members and wonderful sponsors.
